ZZPack Airport Travel Bag
ZZPack is a concept project that looked into emerging technology. For this backpack I looked into airport travel and the horrors of being stuck in the airport overnight. What is the essentials needed for an overnight stay and how can I make this stay comfortable for the user. The backpack is a three piece combination. It's a backpack for travel and carry, that has a detachable back harness so the user can have padding and foam for back support when resting, sitting, laying, or standing.
The back of this backpack wear the straps meet the back of the neck would have a pull tab for an inflatable neck pillow, also for comfort and support for the user. The emerging tech involved with this idea is that the backpack would have haptics, vibrations, and LED lights according to the state of the user. The backpack lights up green when the user squeezes the straps, indicating the backpack is in use. The backpack would also hold heart rate sensors that can detect elevated heart rates and anxiety. The backpack would then light yellow and shoot vibrations up and down the back to calm the user and help them focus in a crowded, overwhelming situations like the airport.
The backpack would also light blue when the user is in rest mode. This portion would coordinate with the inflatable neck pillow which has options for cooling and heating temperatures that soothes the user to help them sleep quicker and for a longer duration. Along with helping the user sleep the neck pillow features sounds options like fan noises or white noises helping the user relax as well.
Lastly, when the backpack is unhooked from the back harness, it can be attached on its own to any luggage the user may have to provide security of their items.
